Comment: Amazing 4 nights at Four Seasons Bali at Sayan Ubud. Stayed here for 4 nights in August 2022. From the check in to the check out, amazing service and value all around.

Check In: Few days before your check in date, email is sent to you with offer for Airport pickup and Airport VIP Service. The rates were a bit steep. Two rates available for Airport Transfer (one way) at either 1.9 million IDR or 1.2 million IDR (depending on car type). Airport VIP service also offered at 755,000 IDR per person. I ended up using a third party Airport VIP service (which provided airport transfer to the hotel as well) at 1.4 million IDR for two people (VIP Airport Service + Transfer to the Hotel).

When you drive in, it will pass through the security gate. You will have to provide the name on the reservation and once they check that, they will allow the car to enter the premises. The pathway down to the entrance (amazing scenic bridge to the property) is narrow. Once you arrive at the bridge, there will be people greeting you with welcome traditional ceremony and baggage assistance. You can leave your bags there and just walk across the bridge to the main building. At check in, you just take a seat at one of the scenic tables by the Jati Bar and a host will come over and explain all the benefits of the FHR (as well as paperwork). Welcome drink also provided.

At check in, I was given upgrade to One Bedroom Villa with Pool (rainforest view) without even being asked. I think arriving a bit late in the afternoon is favorable to such upgrade (because more rooms might be available by then) but that's just a guess on my part. I wasn't even expecting an upgrade. After the check in, someone will drive you on a golf cart to your villa. All the villas are away from the main building. Suites (these are the ones without private pool) are near the main building. Villas all have private pool and private cabanas.

Property: Just amazing all around. Very scenic and peaceful. Resort was about 75% full when I stayed. There's a separate pool by the river near the main building. Most suite guests spend time there (because suites have no private pool). Jati Bar is where you can have coffee, tea, beer and cocktails with scenic view. Two restaurants on the property. Auyung is the traditional restaurant where you will have your complimentary breakfast. You can have lunch or dinner there as well. Riverside restaurant is right by the river/pool and you can have your lunch/dinner there as well. There's shuttle to the Ubud market throughout the day.

All in all, you can just enjoy and relax at the property or do other things like guided tours and river raft tours, which can be all arranged through the hotel. i recommend you download the Four Seasons app in advance (and register using the same email that was used for FHR booking) and you can arrange anything using the chat function within the Four Seasons app. Frequent guests of Four Seasons are probably already aware that this is the norm with Four Seasons property.

I would definitely stay here again. Amazing property and amazing stay.
