I very recently had my bid accepted for business (given R type ticket, originally was N). There appeared to only be 2 business seats left the night before bid cut off (6-7 business seats 2 days before, assuming point/status upgrades chosen day before cash bidders?). I was expecting to be outbid since it looked like a full flight, minus a couple premium class middle seats. I bid a bit over, around $100-150 over min LAX-TLV.
