Taking a Uber into PC from SLC would be what I would do for sure if I had no plans to leave PC on my trip. There is a free bus system that gets you pretty much anywhere you want to go, ubers are easy to come by, and there is a great e-bike share system that is my favorite way to get around. If you want to go to a different resort an hour away such as Sundance, you will need a car. If coming in fall with a car I would recommend making the drive over to snowbird's Oktoberfest.
