I think some of them are detailed in the review (which are a mix of my observation and my colleague's stay) here: https://www.thesuitelife.com.hk/soor...-hotel-review/

But very quickly:
  • The beach/sea as mentioned - not suitable for swimming. Amankila is certainly better for that. The beach is massive though (unlike Amankila's much smaller one comparatively speaking). It's not its own enclave (like Amankila's), but just like Kila', for all intents and purposes, it is effectively a "private beach". The resorts being built are way further down, this is a very quiet area where Soori's at. And unlike Jimbaran/Nusa Dua etc you don't get hordes of people just randomly hanging out or walking by the beach. Some fishermen, yes.
  • Again, and only really in comparison to Amankila, it's more on flat land than on a hill. So all the pros and cons of that.
  • The Beach Villas suffer from light issues (Soori's overall palate is quite dark anyway) - as they are on the lower floor, and receive less sunlight and a bit less privacy too. To the point where I think I'd prefer the Mountain Villas over the Beach (but note that Mountain Villas have their own things to consider due to vegetation - more bugs etc).
  • The 10-bedroom Soori Estate is surprisingly...not particularly jaw dropping. It suffers from a small pool (considering 10-bedroom!), and the lower bedrooms have issues of appropriate light due to being hidden away. The 3-6 bedroom villas however are very, very nice.
  • The main pool feels quite small.
That's it really - as mentioned, overall seriously very, very impressed with the property and it's my go to option for guests not looking towards East Bali but a bit of relaxation (West Bali, once you get up north past Canggu, is just as stunning) - just something to take note of when you choose between Amankila or Soori or other hotels around Bali.
