Just for the curious amongst us who have lost BA tags in the past : is the tag still with (now undone, presumably) strap, or had the plastic snapped at the thin bit by the hole ?
Just back from ACE and I've noticed the BAEC tag on my bike box has gone astray, I fixed it through the security loop on one of the catches to avoid accidental opening and to add a bit of traceable ID.
It was in one of the metal CX tag holders from ye olde days when Amex gave CX Diamond for a year, with chunky steel cable attachment, I've had a few 'bare' tags lost/damaged, but with the CX holder never (until now).
The box hadn't been opened, pretty sure the cable didn't come unscrewed by itself, and the catch loop it went through on the box has no hint of damage from the force it'd take to snap the cable, seems likely someone removed it along the way.
Need to have a rummage around to see if I've any of the holders left.
