A lot of cuts here and there just never made sense - like the deluxe pizza at Costco or the strawberry sundae at McDonalds - product cuts that seemed to have nothing to do with the virus, except omissions of convenience for products that will never return. Personally I feel the United Japanese meals are similar - just convenient to eliminate and hope no one notices or complains until they are forgotten. Maybe current United flight kitchen management doesn't even remember they were offered?
