Hi,

My parents are flying Delta from BOS next week. We have requested wheelchair service for them because neither can walk long distances. They also both have some cognitive decline, to the point where I have decided to accompany them in the airport until they are on their flight because they will not be able to deal with any unexpected changes. I believe I will have to go to the Delta ticket counter to get a gate pass. My parents are concerned that this will hold them up. My mother's recollection is that she can check baggage and pick up their wheelchairs/attendants without waiting in line through their cubside checkin process. If this is true, can I also get a gate pass this way? Or is there a way to get the gate pass in advance?

Their flight is at 8:50 a.m. and we are aiming to arrive around 6 a.m. to be safe, but I know this is a very busy time at Logan.

Also, where is the best place to park in this situation? I will be in their vehicle with a walking disability placard so I can make use of handicap parking.
