I made booking with the portal but when I went and looked within United it said I was getting zero milage accrual and it would not let me apply PP to upgrade. Booking class showed as Economy H. I even booked a fully refundable, so not basic economy
Wait a few hours, but less than 24, and you should see the expected accruals—that’s the pattern I’ve seen with third-party bookings in recent months, both via Chase and through other travel sites.
