Just did this at PHL for the first time. Got an email to head to Gold area and check the board. On arrive, Gold Board said "See Desk" next to my name and the attendant said I could have a compact (Corolla) or pay $15/day to upgrade to PC selection. Chose the upgrade as I got a great rate on the managers special to begin with anyway. Unsure if I'd do it again based on that.
