NW used to serve EGE too from MSP. And back when NW was looking at discontinuing MSP-EGE, Eagle County was even looking at handing out incentives to keep NW flying to it from MSP too. Unfortunately the era of having more options to get into these smaller CO airports seems to have passed. Sort of like the airlines have gone fully into outsourcing the check-in process to the customers, they seem also to be on trend to outsource more of the travel process to customers driving more to and from bigger airports rather than driving shorter distances to smaller ones.
