I have to say i think.... (conspiracy cap on)
- In 2015 i used the VIP centre once alone so i could be already registered in their database and assesed/profiled as a pleasant non risk guest/customer
- My S/O has used it a couple of times each year and i have dropped him off there showing my face every time for small talk
* S/O mentioned that bookings are accepted if they have enough capacity to offer the service aka:
- busy mornings a lot of flights vs quiet evenings less flights : amount of cars needed schengen vs nonschengen- EU
- Kmar availability to come to VIP centre for personal passport control (if non-schengen departure/arrival/transit to Schengen)
- customs (douane) risk assesment schengen vs nonschengen/non-EU for checkin items and luggage when you provide flight details
- if a crowned head / high lvl security : Obamas / VVVIP / Mick J. and pals have booked the VIP terminal completely for own private/privacy use, therefore putting a dent into availability!
cynic cap on:
they don't prefer gawkers or influencers or paparazzi
* so maybe that's why i got a sudden email saying they had a cancellation and managed to squeeze me in
* or Lieke van Lexmond's maan kalender seems to finally work after a rough start, who knows
for reference:
sossienl
- S/O books via his City firm about 5 weeks in advance and receives an answer in 72H
- booked mine for a 3 Aug 2022 arrival use at end of May 2022 and was cited directly in 72H no availability but was put on their standby list, if any cancellations would happen that day they would notify me. A week before our arrival back i got an email saying they could offer us the arrival service due to someone cancelling their booking. So there seems to be an internal priority or preferred guest list.
