I would do the dress circle row A option.
I don't know the exact row the overhang starts in the grand tier but row E must be getting close.
Do check the seat photo on the met ticket site to ensure you're free from random obstructions (e.g. poles). I think they really did take a photo at every seat and it's pretty reliable.
