Had a weather delay on BA1399, not Heathrow fault obviously. Landed 39 minutes late, but then waited another 10 minutes to get onto stand due to a guidance system failure. Air side Ops manually signalled us onto stand.

Whilst walking to hotel, there was a Geordie bloke behind me talking to his friend on the phone. Whilst I wasn't purposely earwigging, I could hear the conversation. He was saying his flight experienced the same as me - waiting for a stand, but his plane (assume NCL?) ended up on an international gate at B which caused extra hassle for him.
