About to book an itinerary and was wondering if I would have an issue. Due to the wonders of married segment ticketing, I'm just curious if it would be an issue to book a long layover (but same day flight) connecting via FRA or MUC. To book Lufthansa first it seems I require a connection to an undesired city. Would it be a problem to pay cash for an earlier in the flight day to my desired destination, and let my LH F ticket with long layover stand? I would, of course, fly the desired first class ticket and just let the domestic Europe ticket drop.
