Data point from today: I just had a GVA <-> Asia fight canceled, and various options were openly considered while trying to find a replacement itinerary: ex-GVA, ex-CDG, ex-LYS. For sure those are usually priced very differently.

They didn't bat an eye when I took opportunity of this clean slate to change the travel dates by 10 days.

Fun story from this spring: changing a ticket while on the phone during a layover to try and catch the next plane.
Service line quoted me a 0,9 € charge, and did wait for me to stop, take out my Amex, say aloud my number and code before moving on. What a fun thing to do while rushing through a crowded CDG 2E-2F connection.
