Any decent restaurants near the Conrad? What's the closest hawker centre?
No hawker centres nearby that I am aware of. Suntec City mall is walkable right across the street. Here are the places we ate at: Sergeant Hainanese Chicken Rice (<--my favorite Hainan chicken restaurant in Singapore and Hong Kong), Crystal Jade (HK/Chinese), Din Tai Fung (Taiwanese), Genki Sushi, Shake Shack, Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, McDonalds, Sushiro, Sukiya, Toast Box, Tim Ho Wan, Yakiniku Go Plus, and GoPizza. (If you are questioning our choices - we have kids. ) I think everything is standard mall fare. I can't get good Hainanese chicken where I live, so I pretty much ate at Sergeant Chicken at least once a day (lunch, snack, whatever). Yakiniku Go Plus was good, but the price didn't really match the ambiance. Was a bit crowded, a bit rushed.
