Some pros and cons (and photos) from my second stay here:
Pros:
- Great view from the 20th floor - pretty much directly facing the Empire State Building and Langham (you could even see 1 WTC)
- Comfortable bed - why do Hyatt Centrics continue to have better beds than HR, GH, and Park Hyatt? (The reason is plush covers)
- Front desk service remains friendly (though, less amazing than last time)
- Shower pressure fine - less amazing than I remembered from last time, though
- Extra waters delivered on my door handle around 8 AM
- BASICALLY 3 BLOCKS FROM LOS TACOS NO. 1 - so tasty, ate it for dinner and lunch the next day
Cons:
- AC appeared to struggle getting to the set temperature - didn't seem to go below 70 even when set at 65 - I had a bit of a sweaty night as a result
- AC + bathroom fan were pretty loud - didn't mind as I used it for white noise
- Breakfast had room for improvement - I felt like my pancakes were either overcooked or pre-made - the bacon was good, though, and there was no check to sign (even though I ordered a side, which wasn't on the priceless "Globalist" menu)
- No suite upgrade - even though suites appeared online an hour before I arrived (no suites online after I checked when I got to the room) - I know they didn't even check their computer - it was just a "no"
- Housekeeping knocking at 11:30 AM
- Room was smaller than my last room, so there wasn't an armchair like the last room
Overall, I would still return.
