Musical chairs, got kicked out of my seat
I am scheduled to fly on the A350 in business tomorrow, checked-in to my reserved seat 8G, 8D was still empty, so I thought great, mini-cabin row 8 with empty seat next to me.
a few hours later I check the app, and notice my seat has been changed to 8D, with no notification to me. Looking at the seat map, I see that I’m in 8D and 8G is occupied. So, that means someone evicted me out of 8G instead of just taking 8D? 8A/C and 8H/K were already occupied when I OLCIed, so it’s not like a family that has to be seated next to each other. What is the logic of this?
the mini-cabin is now completely full, so I moved to 1K, with 1H still vacant.
Someone will probably occupy 1H eventually, but I’d like to think I’m nimble enough to climb out and would prefer to have a window view if I can’t have an empty seat next to me.
what is the official Lufthansa policy of seat evictions? I guess it was some HON who kicked me out of my seat?
just for context, I’m a UA*G travelling in I class with AV miles.
I’ve managed to avoid LH C for years now, but already regretting this flight…
