I checked of "no" for any violation of custom law and then a day later realized that I may have violated.
Here is the situation, Last year i took a flight from the USA to Canada. I brought my elderly dog and did not check "animal " on the custom form. Not hiding my dog as she was sitting on the cart going through custom and 2ndary inspection,
In 2ndary inspection, I told the officer that a worker rushed me through the global kiosk and told me to check NO for everything and I didn't even read the questions. I also added that i thought animal was like meat products . ( my dog is my child so it never occured to me that my dog is an animal at that point)... Anyways, I showed the 2ndary inspection officer my Westjet ticket ( I paid pet fee for the flight so not hiding my dog) and rabies vaccination record and was told to read the customs form for Canada carefully next time.
Is the above fraction considered violating custom law?
I also changed my address for this renewal and forgot to add 3 more countries I visited on my application form.
Is the above grounds for denial?
My application is still in Pending,
Question is probably better handled in another thread, but from your description it sounds like you were given a warning of sorts (perhaps informal) - telling you to read the form but not issuing a fine or formal "citation" suggests they were letting you slide but don't want you to do it again.
If you forgot countries, the easiest thing to do is tell them at the interview that you forgot to include them - try to beat them to the punch so it doesn't look like you're hiding anything. Of course, if the three countries are Iran, North Korea, and Cuba, then you may have some 'splaining to do. (But if Germany, Australia, and Scotland it's not likely to be an issue if you're forthcoming).
The delay in approval could be the normal delay or because something popped up - no way to know unitl you get conditional approval or rejection.
