LH will move you without hesitation to vastly inferior seats without any hesitation and a BS excuse. I got booted twice on LH and 9 times on LX this year alone ... and I never venture as far front as row 4 ... boldest move - with failure - this year were row 7 and 8.
Until recently, it wouldn’t have been an issue. Anytime I booked UA Business class with miles, the LH connection was always in First/Business. Not this year. There was very little, if any, 1st/business award seats available on LH “domestic” flights, even with UA charging up to 250k miles.
