FTer actions like too many, too frequent searches, block by Akamai, seems to be the main cause reported here of this message - hence the suggestion to switch tabs or browsers.
When I get problems with too many searches, the only thing that works for me is a new browser (including on a different machine). New tabs or closing & reopening the browser doesn't help. Eventually (haven't figured out how long), a browser will start working again.
