For the longest the time I stayed in the Asoke area and always like that location. I consider the HR basically in that area. I just feel like it has gone down hill a bit. The GH, definitely wins on location. While I am not a huge fan of the 90's Japanese décor at the GH, I do prefer the standard room to the standard setup at HR. The Amex booking with GH helped also. I still like the HR but GH did a good job this trip and would probably steer that direction in the future. Hell, the HP location is actually better than the HR. I was really surprised at how much I liked that property. For 2300thb per night....hard to go wrong.
