I agree. I will say that I haven't been a been to come close to those 150usd rates on any of the dates for my current and upcoming trips. This was a holiday weekend so it is a bit extreme but it was 7500thb per night if I paid. In the price range you mention, it is decent value. When it gets north of that......not for me. If I can be in at least a deluxe room I am good.
