I submitted a request to book in July back in April. Pinged them again in May and June - radio silence. I did finally hear back from them -
the day before flight:
Thank you for your request for VIP service.
We regret to inform you that we cannot honor your request for the VIP service. Due to the large crowds and many requests the VIP centre is fully booked at the requested time."
Cool, cool. I mean, I had already given up on that plan and made other arrangements, but it would have been polite to get the "rot op" a few months earlier.
Particularly with a baby, unless the gatekeepers recognize your name I would not expect to get any positive response from the VIP centre. I'd recommend booking the Schiphol Meet & Assist service instead.
