I did consider the HI but I will be in Athens for a day & a half so not sure what to do around the airport for that long. My flight gets in at 9AM & leaves the next day at 8PM.

Also, staying at a Marriott property will get me a 4PM late checkout. I won't get that at the HI.

I've been to Athens a couple of times so have done the whole sightseeing & touristy things before. But being in the city just gives me more options to kill time before heading back to the airport.
