After dealing with a snooty lounge dragon and a subsequent shower in the Senator, I went to the service counter. A very kind lady at the desk reached out to someone else on the phone to help me get on the noon flight so I will have some breathing space in LHR. Well, that noon flight was over an hour delayed (after we boarded) but I had plenty of time to connect in LHR. The shrimp salad they served on the flight was excellent.

My original flight was also delayed and I would have missed my connection had I not moved up. But LHR was very quiet and smooth. Maple lounge had quite a few guests but SQ had fewer than ten. Very nice.

I am grateful for the LH service desk lady and decided not to file an EU 261 claim as a gesture of goodwill, though Tripit keep reminding me that I can claim $633.
