On one of my recent trips I didn’t notice until after the flight that my wife’s name was misspelled on the BP and even that didn’t cause any issues.
Weirdest part was I checked back on the booking and it was spelled correctly, and of course it’s correct on her passport. No idea how it got flubbed on the BP. Do they manually type the name in at check in?
I think it's the way that the system handles it. My middle name has a space in it and it always takes it out, and at least on one occasion my entire given name was put together with no space, but regardless of domestic or international flight, I've never had an issue.
