How's Skycouch for taller people?

I am 190cm (6'3"). As such, I do not usually fly in economy for >3hrs flights, it's really uncomfortable. I am also over 18" at shoulders which makes the whole thing even worse. (Luckily airlines measure you by checking whether you can fold down the armrests and that I can do without a problem, I am not obese, I am simply big).

I live in Vancouver and would like to be in Auckland next summer (winter there). Last time I did this I took a flight to Honolulu in premium economy first then Jetstar business (which is really just premium economy) to Melbourne. This was the only even remotely affordably way to get there with the no-economy-on-long-haul constraint above.

But now there's Skycouch. If I am flying on the right days (Sun/Tue/Thur) then I can get a much needed break at Honolulu so it's not a single awfully long flight.

Two questions:
  1. DId anyone of similar size try Skycouch? How was it?
  2. Are there any other similar tricks to get to New Zealand which I missed?
