Just finished the rest of the report
Glad to see you treated your PTSD from the solo Cristal with the Salon 2007!
The food does look much better ex-NRT and I was relieved to see a dollop of caviar on one of the smaller dishes.
It is interesting that JAL has an "iconic" status for serving the most expensive inflight champagne in the sky (Salon, SFO 777 imbibed one of about only 60,000 bottles made!!) and ANA the honour of serving the most expensive single malt in the sky (HIBIKI 21 on some routes and the 17 on others); readers please correct me if I'm wrong but the King Alexander on Emirates F is cheaper than HIBIKI.
Although I agree JAL should pay the tax and serve the Grand Cru on the ground, they did offer Delamotte which is made when Salon does not declare a vintage.
Thank you again for a report that celebrates a significant attempt at post-COVID normality.
