I arrived yesterday evening and much to my surprise, the check-in area was not a hot mess as I anticipated. The folks at check-in are very friendly and personable. They did make sure to mention that I had been assigned a "real King Room". I really dislike the bathroom setup in these regular rooms. When in during a quarantine for one night, thought it would be unlikely to end up staying in one again as a Globalist. That was wrong of course.
Also, the carpets are kinda dingy with stains, could use a good cleaning. I did try the lounge out last night, I went late and the mad rush had just let out. I was able to grab a bite and drink in relative peace. I had breakfast in the lounge this morning (can choose lounge or restaurant) and it was very quiet, only me for the longest. The people I have contact with have all been very friendly and welcoming. Too bad they did such a horrible job at the pre arrival portion. If you judge this hotel as a 5 star property (what they claim to be on their site), then you will be disappointed. If you judge it as a 4 or 4.5 star property then they are in a better position to please.
