Hmmm.... well, didn't work as expected. When I arrived at checkin at LHR, there was no BD FF no in the system, only my LH one. When they changed it over to bmi (silver) it then lost my LH (Gold) number for the rest of the booking.
Fortunately... as *silver is still eligible for E+ on UA, we didn't lose our seats (and the seat between us remained blocked).
