Thanks, Korea is actually pretty tough for winter travel. I can't find any reasonable redemptions. I looked at New Zealand, we have a friend in Auckland, but same story. The redemptions are very impractical or out of our range.
I'm actually sounding out awards to FRA on Singapore in J which are reasonable and available so I think a snowy Bavarian retreat may be in the cards.
There is some good availability to Australia and New Zealand this week in J . See the link below. I have a 5 day hold on two tickets to Sydney for Mid March. I put a 5 day hold with AA but I will need to cancel a Japan trip before I can confirm it. I am working on the legs from SYD To SIN and then back from SIN to MIA. You will have to start the trip from LAX and try to tag on the leg from your local airport later. Hopefully you can still find some tickets as these deals dry up quickly.
