How many guests, OP? I see that the LaRomana is an all-inclusive, so the price might be higher for more than two people/room I tried it using two guests.
I did the same search. and it appears there is an Adults Only on that is available for 80k a night, the "section b" which is not adults only offers premium rewards only. I put in 2 adults and 2 kids to get the same 257. 210 with 1 kid, 163 with no kids.

So my suggestion is ditch the kids and book adult only, problem solved :-)
