A thread such as this seems to come along every few months, and I remember posting on another one earlier this year.

Somebody asked the question upthread about the normal cabin temperature setting on BA flights. I might have missed it, but didn't see an answer to that question. It would be good to know.

I've just found an article in which Iberia state that they normally set the cabin temperature to about 24C. That seems much too warm to me. When I'm staying in a hotel I normally set the air-conditioning to 20C at night.

It is undoubtedly true that after a meal and/or alcohol, one will feel warmer than if one hadn't just eaten and drunk, but surely that should be taken into account by cabin crew when setting the cabin temperature?

The overriding point is, I think, that if the cabin seems a bit cool, a blanket can always be used to help keep warm, but if the cabin is too warm, there's nothing that can be done to make yourself cooler for more than a few minutes if you want to sleep.
