I will be arriving from Germany… I would think wine and liquor would have a much higher VAT like 20-25% and that I would be much better off bringing it in either from Munich duty-free or Naples airport duty free if they had an arrival duty free (which it sounds like they don’t).

But then backing it up, if I am traveling from BOS-MUC-NAP, can I even buy duty free liquor in transit in MUC, or do I have to buy this in BOS duty free and have them seal the bottles in plastic bags?

Do people agree that the savings should be at least 20% over Naples city liquor store prices?
