So here’s the update (I’m now in Chicago)

bearing in mind I arrived at F check in. At 6am…I got through security into the CCR at 7.45am (shambolic)

A member from guest services (or whatever their title is) advised she’d come through to the CCR with our new luggage tags. (This happened around 9.15am) I was told I’d get a call or text from her to confirm the luggage was on board (her words).. I never got a call or text.

onto boarding, we got the “seek assistance” message at the gate, which we did, more confusion with the gate staff asking if we had reserved seats (yes obviously), my wife in 2a and I was in 3a as per the original booking, I was moved to 2a, my wife was moved to 4a, when we questioned why, we were told that there must have been a problem, and they said 3a was broken… it came as no surprise when we got on board, and someone was sitting in 3a 🤣 (the change of seats was no massive issue, but just summed up the whole day)

on arrival in Chicago, only 1 bag has arrived…

just been one of those days…

oh and the lady from guest services came into the CCR with a bottle of champagne for us to take, by way of a apology.

Needless to say I will be filing a complaint..
