I am going to assume you have a backup booking somewhere else if this is an award stay. With a paid stay I would think you are safe as they will take your $ regardless of branding.
I had vowed to never stay at this property again after a handful of lousy paid stays; however, I have a USB free night certificate that is expiring in November, so felt that this was a worthy use of the certificate. If they cancel the stay, it's not a big deal, as this was just going to be a shopping and dinner trip. We don't have any show tickets.
