Here is one of the boxes on the page showing my Explorer status (if I'm understanding correctly, it should say Delta, rather than Explorer, if that is the loyalty program I want):

However, once I click on the arrow, then click on "loyalty programs," it is showing DL as my selected loyalty program. And also I can't change it (which is fine because that is the one I want).

So that is why it is a bit confusing and I'm not 100% certain which loyalty program will be credited.

I've called AF and the representative states that she shows DL as my selected loyalty program, however the website doesn't reflect that. Perhaps it's just a limitation of AF's IT.
I called and was told that it should be credited to Skymiles and was also told that now you can add your AF flights and the FQTV number will not be replaced like in the past, it seems that they got rid of that issue.

There’s a value added to have the booking in the AF App and it’s that as an operating carrier AF/KL will let you monitor your flight on the day of departure, with more information than the one provided by DL. I never added the flights to the app because of issues in the past, and as I mentioned, this time was an accident because I always avoid doing it, but hopefully it works out like the agent said.

Kindly report back your experience.
