I was on this plane as well which was headed from JFK to LAX. We received an email from Delta offering 20k SkyMiles. I’m a Platinum member but was sitting in main cabin given I voluntarily gave up my seat on an earlier flight. In my section of seating, no one knew it was a fuel odor problem. We just heard the pilot tell flight attendants to sit as we were landing ASAP so we all thought the plane was going down. What’s appropriate compensation?
