I'm planning a wedding atm and visited Marriott Gold Coast (both Courtyard and Normal) for venue information.

I was totally stoked to find out that I get Marriott Reward points on holding my wedding at either location. When you're throwing that amount of money to a hotel, you'd be surprised how many hotel chains wipe their hands and go "Nope, no points, only on accommodation" but figured I'd let you all know that if you're holding a meeting/conference any time soon, make sure you get points.
