I feel for the OP, as it's clearly a ball ache, but I have no idea what any of this means. Why would there need to be a new booking? Why did the OP only check to LHR- would it not have been easier to check through to ORD? Did the OP get away ok, with bags on the plane...hopefully to be updated.
