Stayed here recently, and I can confirm that the $100 USD elite benefit compensation can be invoked against the continental Starbucks / Whale Tail breakfast amenity. But you need to email the Guest Experience team about this in advance of checking in, as the front desk team will have no idea about doing this.
Does this strategy still work? Last DP I saw stated that they wouldn't honor it retroactively, but should still be fine if I request ahead of time - right?
