That is my understanding as well, but pallhedge seems to disagree.
Here is my scenario, I have an Ink Cash and Ink Unlimited as sole proprietor. I then created an LLC, lets call it Schnit LLC. I went in branch and opened a business checking account for the LLC (easier to deal with account verification before applying for card, IMO). I then went home and applied for an Ink Cash and Ink Unlimited for Schnit LLC. Got approved and got the bonus.
I could not imagine Chase would let me open a second set of cards for the same same sole proprietorship. I have heard of them allowing you to open if you claim 2 different sole proprietorships. For example, you have a rental income property and you have season tickets that you sell. You can open the card for both, it just gets trickier, but it can be done, supposedly, I have never tried.
My understanding is the you cannot hold the card in the business terms is business specific, not account owner specific, but thats just from experience, not from a policy.
