Likewise, I’m at 68 nights and about $15K spend, will probably push another 7 nights Marriott’s way to get Titanium next year but I don’t really perceive any benefits to Ambassador status beyond having an email address you can contact when the hotel almost inevitably messes up posting your stay!
I expect this year will see a mass exodus of Ambassadors, both because there are many who have been rolled over for two years who wouldn’t make Ambassador anyway and also because a lot of people seem to have actively decided not to requalify. Unfortunately, I have no confidence this will cause treatment to improve as it is clear the programme is now just viewed as a cost centre.
My 68 nights is actually 25 ‘real nights’ so far minus credit card nights, double nights promos and redemptions. You would think someone with an average spend per night approaching $1,000 was an interesting customer to keep but that’s not how Marriott views things these days…
