And, quite frankly, upgrades (at least on weekends) are not common IME at CAA. CAA is a good hotel (see my recent review in the master thread from this weekend), but you have to be willing to deal with small rooms and potentially poor views.

Between the Thompson and Centric Mag Mile at the same price, I would pick the Thompson (better shower). If Centric Mag Mile was materially cheaper, I would pick it.
