I flew IAD-CMN-LIS and I kind of agree with that sentiment. I thought the food was slightly better than AA, but I enjoyed the Moroccan flavors. Service level was probably comparable to AA, but as you mention, much cheaper.

With regard to the FAs that disappeared - they were always pleasant at grabbing what I needed when I pressed the call button.
