Ok, was under the impression that they cancelled it 14 days out and so no recourse whatever the final rescheduled booking is. I think there's flights the 4th or the 6th but Aer Lingus hasn't rescheduled our flights yet. Howeve, 2 out of the 3 flights flying ORD to dublin have sold out (but there was only 1 possible flight that works for transfer to Zurich anyway)
Both EI ORD-DUB flights on September 5 are still on sale. However, there are no flights on sale anymore for DUB-ZRH on September 6, so it seems that's the flight that is the reason for your cancellation.

In order to be able to ask for something better - unless you're happy to just accept whatever the computer rebook you onto - you will have to call in. (I'm not familiar with irrops on Aer LIngus, so I assume you can't log in to the booking and rebook yourself).

Incidentally - did you book this directly from Aer LIngus, or did you use an agent? If you used a travel agent, then you must call them, rather than Aer LIngus, to make changes to the ticket.
