other type, which they call "Spot" (Chipolo ONE Spot or Chipolo CARD Spot), uses Apple's Find My network, the same as AirTags. So you'd have all the benefits of its position being relayed by any nearby iPhone. The one difference I see is that it doesn't support ultra wideband, only Bluetooth, so it
doesn't support Precision Finding.
If the SPOT truly uses the Find My NETWORK in the same way that the apple AirTag does, meaning the device alone and stand alone can communicate with anyone’s ios device anywhere and send/update location information then that would be great, since it has more options for sizing, especially the wallet size cards.
I have several devices that use the Find My capability in IOS, but they only work as proximate device finders, and only work to the extent that when they were last connected to a device that they are linked with via an Apple ID account, only then do they GET and SEND updated location based information.
