As recent as the late 90-00s, UA had multiple flights per day from CLE-ORD with DC-10s.

I had a project when I was a youngster in CLE and took that Thursday afternoon return to ORD every week for about 5 months straight.

Loading and loading seemed to take as long as the flight itself.
