I think the 2 can live happily in your wallet together. The Apple card for me is only useful for the 5% back on Apple purchases but since it's no fee, why not.

The Venture X quickly pays for itself. Amex takes awhile and it needs a bit more attention to creak even on the AF but it's certainly possible.
